Choosing a solderless silicone strip
Select the emitting face
Choose side emission or front emission for the required lighting direction. Then check the actual profile drawing rather than relying on the nominal size alone.
Match the profile and connector
Borderless and flanged profiles have different installation outlines. Confirm the complete width, end caps and connector for the exact profile.
Plan the powered sections
For 12V/24V versions, voltage and brightness remain stable within 8 m. Beyond 8 m, voltage drop reduces brightness; confirm the power-feed arrangement for longer sections.
Before you specify
What do free cut and solderless mean?
Free cut means the strip can be cut to the required length without following a fixed cutting interval. Solderless means the matched connector makes the electrical connection without soldering wires. Confirm the termination and sealing method for the chosen voltage version.
Does the 8 m no-voltage-drop feature apply to 110V/220V?
The 8 m statement applies to 12V/24V versions. Do not extend it to 110V/220V. High-voltage cutting, connection, power and permitted run length must be confirmed for the selected version.
Can the same accessories fit flanged and borderless strips?
Do not assume interchangeability, even when the nominal dimensions match. Compare the complete cross-section and confirm the connector, end caps, mounting space and sealing system.
